Do you want to make a difference and contribute to creating a better world? Are you interested in developing your skills and knowledge, while putting your ideals to work? Join us, we are a frontrunner in ethical banking and global impact investing, and we need people like you to make change happen.

We believe that money can change the world for the better. In fact, our organisation was founded on this belief. Our mission is to create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core.

Within our enterprise risk management (ERM) practice we are concerned with the identification and synthesis of all risk types in an aggregated risk profile on a group-wide basis, which is then compared to Triodos Bank’s risk appetite and is reported on to the Enterprise Risk Committee. In addition ERM is dedicated to the specific enterprise risks such as strategic-, reputational-, model- and ESG-risk. In the context of 'change', ERM is often involved in strategically relevant change programs and supervisory-related processes (e.g. SREP and Resolution Planning).

Currently we would like to bring on board a Senior Enterprise Risk Manager for a full time contract to reinforce our ERM team.

How you will make a difference

You will support Triodos Bank in setting and realizing its mission and strategy by your contribution to the timely identification, assessment and management of enterprise relevant risks in close cooperation with the 1st line. You will hereby actively engage in both 'run' and 'change' activities and processes from a risk management and control perspective, within your field of responsibility.

  • You will be responsible for the further development and implementation of the area of strategic risk management, taking into account the guidance of senior management.
  • You will perform research and analysis on strategically relevant topics and report and advise on these, mostly at senior management level.
  • You will be involved in recurring ERM topics including the Risk Appetite, Strategic Risk Assessments and the Corporate cycle.
  • You will take on responsibility for (part of) the overarching enterprise risk management policies and processes, and the implementation thereof.
  • You will actively participate in risk governance bodies and/or initiate conversations with senior management and other stakeholders within the field of enterprise risk.
  • You will engage in enterprise-relevant change programs from a 2nd line perspective and deliver both solicited and unsolicited advice or opinions.

What you will bring

Your unique potential and your values matter for us most. We look for people who are self-aware and always conscious of their impact on society, the environment, and the economic system.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • build partnerships and networks.
  • are energetic and result oriented, with attention for delivering high quality output.
  • think systemically and are able to quickly get to the heart of the matter; even when faced with complex situations or matters.
  • hold an academic degree in a relevant direction and have an extensive amount of enterprise-risk-related experience.
  • are a professional in the field of risk management and possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the regulatory context (e.g. CRR, CRD and BRRD).
  • have strong communication skills (both verbally as in writing) and you have a well-developed sense of organizational relationships and sensitivities.
  • approach and work in a structured way, striking the right balance between detail and overview.

Your future team and colleagues

Together with two other enterprise risk managers you form a concise and dedicated expert team within the ERM department. Although each enterprise risk manager has its own field of expertise often teamwork and co-creation is required to optimize added value. All enterprise risk managers report to the group director ERM, who in turn reports to the CRO. Both group-wide Regulatory Risk and the Risk Reporting teams are also positioned within ERM.
