Within Triodos Investment Management (TIM) Portfolio Services has the responsibility for the smooth operational execution of all alternative investments. Key activities include processing investments, payments, valuations and executing hedges and collateral management. Due to the increasing complexity and our ambition for growth, we are looking for a new Head of Portfolio Services.

How you will make a difference

The Head of Portfolio Services is responsible for the team strategy and the future positioning of the department within TIM. You proactively identify and follow up on operational risks and opportunities by implementing solutions to harmonize the portfolio administration. Efficiency and control is key as we aim to empower our colleagues to manage and monitor our impact investments with confidence.

  • You and your team (14FTE) work in close cooperation with the investment and (internal and external) financial accounting teams and the fund managers to ensure the correct, complete, and timely disbursement and administration of the investments, as well as the restriction monitoring of the investment portfolio.
  • You are responsible to manage the service level of our outsourcing parties, such as our asset service providers and custodians.
  • You provide guidance to the coworkers and coach the team members in their personal growth.
  • You provide solicited and unsolicited advice on portfolio administration matters to senior management.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have at least 8 years of professional experience in investment portfolio administration, preferably in private equity / alternative investments.
  • Are able to set a long-term vision on portfolio administration and translate it into practical daily implementation.
  • Have a proven ability to gain credibility and trust at all levels based upon expertise and building relations.
  • Are a people-person and team builder; you empower yourself and your team members.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and inspire people in a multi-disciplinary context.
  • Are a result-oriented, self-starting and have an entrepreneurial work attitude.
  • Are a natural networker and connector with the capacity to function well within a multi-stakeholder organisation.
  • Have experience in a management or team lead position.
  • Have an academic degree, preferably in (financial) economics or equivalent.
  • Have experience with process improvements (lean) and ISAE3402 certification.
  • Possess excellent language skills in English, both written and orally.

Your future colleagues

You will be reporting directly to the Director Mid Office & IT and cooperate closely with your co-workers in the Business Analysis and Process team with a close connection to the Data Competence Centre of TIM. These teams are responsible for optimal support to the business teams regarding data management, automation, and process management. We have a nice ecosystem of packaged applications (eFront for portfolio management), external providers, and self-built systems to support the TIM co-workers in their daily work.
