How you will make a difference

You will help us to ‘change finance to finance change’, by being part of and supporting the activities of a unique impact investing fund in the energy transition with a long-term focus in an evergreen structure.

As a part of your daily routine:

• You will conduct research into new target markets such as Hydrogen, battery storage, the heat transition, and smart metering across Europe
• You will support pipeline development by researching new potential investees, and determine initial attractiveness by sector relevance, financial analysis, and multiple or DCF assessment
• You will be preparing pitches and presentations, financial analyses, and portfolio reporting
• You will support the investment team by cooperating with the Customer Due Diligence Team Investment committee support by drafting executive summaries
• You will provide overall support in the investment cycle from lead generation, to closing and potential exists

To be successful in this role, you will:

• be a motivated student (MBO, HBO or WO) who is interested in further development within finance, business economics, engineering, or an energy related area
• have affinity with research and analytical work, able to learn quickly
• be accessible, pro-active, well-organized with a hands-on and facilitating attitude, intrinsically curious, excellent communicator, and a good team player
• be able to work independently although you will work closely with experienced members of the team
• have an interest in sustainability and the energy transition
• have excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
• be fluent in English (both orally and in writing); knowledge of other European languages is an advantage

Your future colleagues

Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund aims to limit the consequences of climate change by increasing the share of clean energy in the total energy mix and reducing CO2 emissions. The fund mainly acts as an equity partner for companies that generate renewable energy, improve energy efficiency and/or offer energy flexibility. The fund also invests directly in renewable energy projects. The team consists of a head, 3 investment managers and 3 investment associates working closely together across pipeline and investments.
