TPSolar has installed 22,000 solar panels on the covered, former landfill site on the Westelijke Dordtse Oever in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. The solar park has given the former landfill site a second life. The landfill site is completely covered, but therefore offers few other options because it is not possible to drive and dig. With a solar park, the space is used very usefully. The electricity generated is enough for 2,100 households and can be used directly in Dordrecht. Residents who want to purchase solar energy from the Transberg solar park can do so via the Powerpeers platform.
