Would you like to make a difference and work for an organisation that wants to contribute to creating a better world? Are you interested in working on challenging and complex projects with a frontrunner in sustainable banking and impact investing? Are you looking for a professional and friendly environment where you could work with like-minded people? If your answers are positive, then we have a unique opportunity for you.

We're more than a financial institution, we're a community with a mission to help create a society that protects and promotes the quality of life of all its members with human dignity at its core. We're looking for people who believe in positive impact and want to work on a sustainable future for us all.

Currently, we’re further professionalising our ways of working by implementing a new organisational model, which will allow us to better support our customers. Within the procurement area it means a need for creating a structured approach toward our suppliers and further integration of activities across the 5 Triodos countries.

For leading our international Procurement team, we would like to bring on board a mature and purpose-driven professional for a permanent contract.

How will you make a difference?

You will help us to ‘change finance to finance change’, by leading the development of a global procurement strategy and creating proper ecosystem and partner management within your field.

Together with your team:

  • you will manage a portfolio of major procurement programs ensuring that suppliers are meeting required levels of service
  • you will develop strong relationships and networks across the top structure of Triodos to create mutual trust and support in delivering business strategy and plans
  • you will drive talent development and performance management initiatives to ensure that your team members continue to thrive and develop
  • you will proactively manage and effect change, ensuring that the team is able to adapt and flex to the changing needs and expectations of internal and external customers

What will you bring?

What matters for us most is your integrity and your values. We’re looking for people who are self-aware and who think holistically, always conscious about their impact on society, environment and the economy.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • be able to influence and persuade different stakeholders to get things done, while managing conflict effectively and directing energy to a shared solution
  • act with integrity and honesty, daring to speak up and have difficult conversations when needed
  • set focus and empower others by allocating mandate, time, budget and resources effectively to achieve set objectives
  • connect with co-workers and partners to collaborate, communicate, listen and inform each other about shared interests or goals
  • have significant experience of delivering through others, by empowering and supporting people to flourish and succeed

Furthermore, it is desirable that you will have:

  • extensive experience in defining purchasing strategies in line with regulatory guidelines (preferably in the financial or IT sector)
  • proven experience in leading and inspiring international purchasing teams
  • experience in contract management and value delivery through strategic partnerships with external suppliers
  • excellent stakeholder and change management skills with a proven track record of proposing and implementing effective solutions
  • entrepreneurial mindset and intrinsic motivation to take responsibility for the procurement and sourcing area within our organisation

Who will you work with?

You will be reporting directly to the COO and cooperate closely with corporate procurement managers and co-workers to establish the most effective structure going forward. You will lead a small team of international professionals, with diverse backgrounds and support them during daily work.
